A Sk-Sk-Sk-SKELESON?!

In which there is a skeleson.

Howdy Dowdy, My Rowdies

It’s all about those scary skellies in the new Rowdydow page! Check it out and then come back here for some behind the scenes.

Howdy Dowdy Do That (Spooky Skeleson Edition)?

Putting an actual photo of a real life skeleton that I found into the comic popped into my when I was writing this page. This is one of those make myself laugh things that I have to do once I think of it, regardless of how much sense it does or doesn’t make.

A very fancy set up

The very real skeleton (which I found in the scary woods near my house and NOT at a Spirit Halloween) was also, much to my patient partner’s chagrin, partially covered in the skin of several rotisserie chickens that I painstakingly removed by hand. To make it more “gross and decayed-looking” obviously.

It didn’t really end up reading as that in the final product and the second panel featuring the skeleton was from a test shot that I didn’t even use the chicken skin in.

This shot was from our deck outside. That shoot didn’t last long because our neighbors were having some kind of get together on their deck below us, so sitting out there photographing this skeleton that I found in the woods and not at a Spirit Halloween felt a like a bit much.

THE REAL SKELESON

Oh, also if you haven’t read the award winning Skeleson, by myself and Spencer Holt, you should check it out. Our first completed comic together as I recall. Correct me if I’m wrong, Spencer.

It one the prestigious Best Comic award from the PheonixMoon Graphic Novel Contest in 2017. We were unable to accept the award in person because we found out we would have had to buy a ticket to the convention in order to accept it.

OK, Bye!

That’s all for this week.
