ALT PRESS FEST + OH WOW COOL

I’m going to be tabling along with some other comic’s making buddies at the Salt Lake City Library’s ALT PRESS FEST which, if you don’t already know, is a festival that celebrates DIY zines and art. It will be held at the City Library downtown this Saturday, October 19th (tomorrow, actually) from 12 - 5pm.

Apologies for the late notice, but I’ve been working hard this week on printing and assemblies the first in what I’m hoping will be a recurring comics anthology by best friends, for best friends called Oh Wow Cool.

The covers were printed by local riso printers Risogeist and features art by my talented partner Kade Whittle.

This first volume had the theme “A Western, But it’s _______” and each contributor filled in their own “blank”, whatever it was.

Best friends included in this collection are Spencer Holt.

and myself. My comic is a bit of a departure from the usual work I do. I went for a mixture of western and horror with a more series overall tone. It’s also largely responsible for the PG-13 rating that the collection is getting. But I’m pretty proud of how it turned out. I might try out my maturely themed short projects in the future. But we’ll see.

Anyway, if y’all are interested in rusltin’ up some cool comics, why don’t ya mosey on down to library and lasso yourselves a copy of OH WOW COOL.
