Another Skate Park Update

As promised, I took some pics of the skate park construction. As you’ll recall, the old skate park (that the new one takes the place of) was the inspiration for my comic Shred or Dead.

I have more Shred news (some of you probably already know this stuff already) that I’ll be announcing some time next year.

Seriously though, with Round 1 of Rowdydow coming to an end, I’m going to be putting the comic and the newsletter on hiatus until 2025. I want to focus on getting as many pages of Round 2 done as I can, which I’m hard at work on now, before I start posting again.

It’s been a good time posting these though. I was hoping that it would be a sort of replacement for social media since I’ve left most of them at this point.

And was it a successful replacement? No, not really. lol. BUT… still good, I think. Hopefully it will grow from here.

In the mean time, there’s a few things I want to leave y’all with:

Firstly, I’m not sure if it was ever made clear, but these newsletters are also posted to a site that works as a sort of online blog.

So you can always revisit and comment on there. I want to try and do more little projects to post there as it it were Instagram, but these darn comics just take too much time. Alas. We will see.

Secondly, as I mentioned before, Rowdydow, Round 1 has ended. When I was setting up the site, I went back and forth on whether the best presentation for the comic was a page-by-page click through or an infinite scroll type experience. Personally, I prefer scrolling but it becomes difficult to update a comic a page at a time in a scrolling format. It would force the reader to scroll all the way down to the bottom for each new page. Annoying.

Anyway, I’m rambling now. What I’m getting at is that I’ve update the Rowdy site to allow readers to pick which format they would prefer.

If you have not read through yet (which would be a very weird category to be in if you’re subscribed to this), now is the perfect time to do so.

Lastly, as I said I am hard at work on Round 2 and I thought I would give y’all a little preview. Rowdydow is a project I am really doing just for fun and so most weird notions about it that pop into my head, I say “Yes” to. Basically, I’m doing improv with my brain.

I hate that I just typed that and that I’m also not deleting it. Anyway, all that to introduce that the next Round is taking place 151 years prior to the events of Round 1.
