How’d He Howdydowdy Do That?

I thought it would be fun to share some behind the scenes stuff from the comic. Starting with our friend Bobert here from my seldom used sketchbook.

The designs in the middle were the first tries, which felt too humpty dumpty. Oh, look there’s a janky-looking rogue Sam in there as well (those who know, know).

Anyway, the bigger head started working better, I think. In the upper right hand you can see where the designs starts to hone in what we ended up with.

These below are starting to get closer, although I think somethings wrong with the guy on the left. Sorry, pal.

Here’s another go at Bobert. These were right before starting on the page where he first appears. I think these are pretty much there. Hopefully, anyway. Too late to change ‘em now.

Next week, we’ll take a better look at this creepy little shop he’s stumbled into. Spooooooky!
